Gracie had her professional baby pictures taken today. She was very good, but they really wore her out. I love the interesting things she does in her sleep.

Today's Menu: Stuffed Duck

I think Gracie is in the pre-teething stage. There are no tell-tale bumps on her gums yet, but she tries to bite everything (including Mom). Needless to say, breastfeeding has become a little more hazardous. I got her this duck the other day with plastic hands and feet for her to chew on. She doesn't like the water-filled teethers, but seems to like the duck.

Busy Baby

Gracie tried her Exersaucer for the first time today. She seemed really interested in the toys. She has to lean forward in it because she can't quite hold herself steady. She's growing so fast. It seems like yesterday she couldn't hold her head up. I'm sure this will come in handy when I need to keep her occupied while cleaning up and doing laundry.

Copycat

Gracie has really been experimenting with her voice lately. She has been talking up a storm and loves to see how high and loud she can get. Here she is having some fun with me and doing something that sounds almost like a really bad Tarzan impression.

A True Fan

This is definitely her favorite outfit. Go Tigers!!

Is it me, or does Gracie bear a striking resemblance to Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator?

Having a Laugh

This is what we were waiting for. While on our trip, John was playing with Gracie and got her to laugh. It's funny though, it almost sounds like she is crying. I had such a hard time trying not to laugh while I was videoing this.

Having a Ball

Gracie was introduced to a beach ball today. She kept trying to hold it using her hands AND her feet. It is so neat to see her use both of her hands to grab toys.

Chillin' with Daddy

Poolside

Gracie and I went out of town with Daddy this week. She got to have her first pool experience. She didn't do much. She kept looking at the water with this puzzled look on her face, as if she was trying to figure out what was going on. At least she didn't cry...and she looked cute in her bathing suit.

Sleeping Beauty

Gracie loves to stretch out and relax when she is sleeping. Here she is snoozing on Daddy's lap. Very ladylike pose. Don't you wish you could sleep that good?

Frilly Girl

Here is another church outfit. Someone at the high school gave this to her. I love the bonnet! I was really surprised that she didn't get annoyed by it. She has such a good temperament. It's so much fun dressing her up!

Jump Around

This is the cutest thing I've ever seen (and I'm not biased whatsoever). We discovered that Gracie really enjoys bouncing on Daddy's knee. She gets very excited and talkative when Daddy gets home every day.

Couch Potato

I put Gracie in the corner of the couch for a second while I moved a few things around in the den. I guess she was just too tired to watch me.

A Mouth Full?

I think this is so cute. Gracie fell asleep with her pacifier in, but it fell out. She continued to suck as if it was still there.

Soft and Sweet

Gracie really likes to feel soft things right now. Her little flannel receiving blankets have become her comfort item (along with her pacifier). She also likes exploring stuffed animals. Here she is squeezing a soft froggie.

Sitting Pretty

We bought Gracie a Bumbo seat. It helps her sit up. She looks so funny in it! She likes it, though. After about 5 minutes in it, she gets tired of holding her head up. However, she seems to like the different perspective that the seat gives her.
